It's not Weehawkin we're interested in. It's basically any city in NJ. But the waterfront is where it's at in Weehawkin. Safe, great restaurants, ferry to NYC and it has a decent path on the water front only getting better.

A great place to stay if you don't want to stay in NYC but would like to visit.
"The hotel is older but I really liked the style of it. The price for the location is great. Desk staff were wonderful. We had a room with one king bed and the size was good, room was comfortable and the window AC unit kept up with the 37 degree heat. Not a good hotel if you are planning to have a lot of meals in your room - no fridges/microwaves. We were only there for a few nights so this was not a problem. I will stay here again if I am back in NYC."
"The double tree south was a great location really close to time square and all the theaters. The room was a bit small but that was a non factor as we didn’t spend a lot of time there just to sleep. The beds were really comfortable and the shower was really hot after a long day. "
