"Hotel Sherman was the perfect oasis for our quick stay in the city. Its entrance is tucked between two buildings, and I almost missed it at first. Upon entering, I felt like I was transported to a quaint Parisian hotel- it was simply lovely! The staff were so welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. When we arrived I learned we were upgraded from a double queen room to a two bedroom penthouse suite with private terrace. It was amazing! The rooftop terrace is also beautiful, and a great place...

"The staff was exceptional - holding all doors open for you, hailing a taxi, greeting you with a smile, and by name, keeping the rooms very clean as well as the breakfast and 24/7 snack area. This snack area was especially nice as you were able to get bottled water and sparkling water in cans, along with fruit, pastries, healthy chips all day and night as well as a very nice breakfast in the morning. "The property was cool. I would've gave 5 stars but I gave a 4 because I seem a stain on the pillow sheets.. Clean sheets and pillows and towels and shower curtains should be a priority always.. no cleaning team should should over look stains. Change it out immediately before next guest arrives"

"Loved our stay! Clean, spacious room and great location - close to Central Park, 5th Ave, Rockefeller Center, with a subway station almost right next door. Very comfortable bed, room was cleaned every day, and staff were helpful (although some of them were not very friendly). Our room was at the back of the property so not so great views but we didn’t really mind it as it means it was quiet. We would definitely stay here again next time we’re in NYC!"

"I needed to work in the room, so having a table and chairs was very nice. It meant I could eat my breakfast in the room too. I really appreciated the copies of the New York Times that the hotel made available for the guests."

"First time here, been to many other places around NYC. The location was perfect for our trip ( met opera) The room was clean and comfortable. We were put in an interior room ( no view) and it was wonderful! No view meant we were able to sleep without all the noise, sirens, yelling garbage truck banging… we almost missed the noise ( not ). Lots of stuff to do/see/eat right around the area."
