I tried to contact the hotel but the phone number wasn't working so I sent a message informing we would be arriving the next day and wanted to confirm our reservation was held for us and that our room would be ready in the morning. I received no response. Upon arrival we were told that the hotel was sold out and a room was not yet available for us (even though we had paid for the previous night). "The Rubens is a fantastic hotel. We only stayed one night, but will definitely stay there upon return to London. The location cannot be beat, only a block or two from Buckingham Palace. The staff absolutely could not have been nicer or more accommodating. They really were fantastic!! The room was comfortable. We had a view of the Royal Mews. Breakfast was amazing. I really cannot say enough nice things about the hotel. Highly recommend!"

"Nice room. Automatic curtains didn’t close sufficiently to block light. Bedside table lamp didn’t work because it was missing a bulb. Other guests got Prosecco, candy bar and shortbread cookies but I did not."

Close to all transport, shops, restaurants, parks, etc. Grab some waters and essentials from the Tesco around the corner and you are all set. Would definitely return!"
