It is understaffed, staff are not always helpful…(some staff are excellent but clearly too far stretched) whilst others are poor.A leaking shower base meant my trousers got wet, instead of offering to sort them (as I would expect for a conde Nast hotel) I was told to dry them with a hairdryer. No turn down service, and we were offered a free drink to compensate, asked for baileys - but there was a huge problem with that and...

We were traveling with four teenagers, and they very generously upgraded us to beautiful suites. Food at the hotel is excellent. Everything was clean and comfortable. It's our favorite place to stay in London."

Le lit très confortable et les commodités de la salle de bain vraiment très bien. De plus aucun bruit venant du couloir ou des autres chambres ne nous a dérangé. L’emplacement est excellent à 5 minutes de marche de la station Victoria où on peut prendre le train ou le métro. Beaucoup de bons restaurants à proximité. Je recommande vivement cet hôtel."

"Lovely location. Room a bit dated and not always in a charming or characterful way - e.g. brown patterned carpet, likely from the 1980s. At check out I was asked for a 15 pound a night “tip” or service charges and to cover lobby and door staff! I felt awkward asking for it to be removed from the account, but really at 250+ a night I expect staff to be part of the deal. Is tipping at hotel really to become a normal thing in London?"

"The front desk staff welcomed us very warmly and courteously. Our room had the high ceiling and two large windows in a Victorian building, creating a beautiful space that combined a homey atmosphere with warmth and elegance. The location was also excellent. We heard almost no traffic noise and enjoyed a sound sleep at night. "
