"The Hotel staff were very friendly on arrival, Danny made us very welcome. The room was clean, very cosy and well equipped. We enjoyed our continental breakfast with lots of choice. We also booked a meal at the Basca Indian restaurant next door on recommendation and the food was delicious! The hotel is situated right in the middle of Colchester so the shops were in easy walking distance, as was the castle and art galleries. "This B&B provides everything you could wish for. Comfortable en-suite rooms and an excellent breakfast. Everything is provided in the rooms despite Expedia stating that in some of the rooms bed linen and towels are not provided. - this is clearly NOT true, as everything we could hope for was there. The owners clearly work hard at providing a very high standard B&B, and succeed. A lovely stay."

"We had a lovely stay at The Ship Inn. The room was really clean, bright and comfortable and plenty of space to relax in.
