"Check in could be improved. Arrived to a busy pub with customers waiting for service at the bar and no designated check in desk. Several staff just walked past us with our bags and no one acknowledged we were trying to check in for several minutes. The room was okay but not as shown on our booking confirmation - it was an attic room with very steep stairs and a not very safe landing area outside the door. "Staff were welcoming. I had a single room which was a good size. Room was clean but basic. Lovely village. My car was too big to risk driving into car park. A small car would have been fine. Parking very difficult in the village. Breakfast was also very basic with cereal, toast and yogurt but did the job. Not a luxury stay but reasonably priced for the area."

"We had a standard room which was suitably spacious for a comfortable stay. The check in process was simple and straight forward. Guest who book on Expedia (or other we sites) are required to pay £15 for spa access, whereas direct book guest pay £10 for the same service. The spa is nice, but it’s a bit small.
