"Great stay for our Carmel getaway"

"We dearly enjoyed our stay here! My husband and I (and our 6 month old son) stayed here on our anniversary trip for 3 nights. Our room was clean and comfortable as well as charming and unique! Would definitely recommend, especially to anyone would love old fashioned, charming, storybook feel (like me!). It is located downtown and in convenient walking distance to many shops, restaurants, and the beach! We didn't bring or rent a car and it was perfect for us. They held our luggage for us too...

"Cute from the outside and pretty clean but the rooms and the beds, were very small. The walls were paper thin and the AC noisy. The pillows were uncomfortable and overall none of us got a good nights sleep. We spent 8 nights on a CA roadtrip and unfortunately this hotel was the one we couldn’t wait to leave."

"Everything was great. The staff was friendly, and the rooms were very clean. The couch bed was a bit old but it was clean. Lots of updates. It was pretty expensive for the size and maybe fan benefit from having some light refreshments in the front."

"They advertise a shuttle but it has very limited hours to get you to and from downtown. Otherwise it was a great stay and great hotel. Perfect location!"

"Room was great, clean Very basic. Very small refrigerator and microwave Just 1 hanger on short rod. No extras but did the job. Bed was nice but a bit too soft for me. Hot water took awhile but once it warmed up it was hot. Coffee available only in office but a nice machine with options. Great location."

"Beautiful area. Nice place. Super comfortable and clean. Perfect spot in Pacific Grove! Everything in PG is walkable from it. 5 minute drive to the aquarium. We will definitely stay here again for our next visit! Thanks, Annette, for being such a great hostess!"

"Like staying at your Victorian grandmas house -cozy and familiar. Fabulous location, good price, they definitely could work a little on updating carpets, pullout sleeping sofas ( it was a futon) and such but overall good for the price!"

"To start with, our room was not ready when we got to the hotel and it was check-in time. If the maid was just finishing up that would be fine, but the room was wide open, the bed unmade, dirty towels everywhere, and no one in or around the room. It made me flashback to a time I tried to rent a room in another city and was told I would need to change the sheets myself. Yikes! I went back to the office and the desk clerk didn't know where the cleaning person was. I asked if they had another room...

"The details MATTER here! Every little inconvenience you could think of, they tried to offer some solution for it. It’s a beautiful room that’s cozy, filled with Diptyque products to unwind to in the shower, Marvis toothpaste samples, and even a little Nespresso machine with both tea and coffee options. They give you cookies every night. The free breakfast in the morning is so curated and aesthetic. You’re welcomed with glass of rosé upon arrival. They even have one of those British water heating...

"Really perfect location of far from the Aquarium, excellent rooms with a fireplace and balcony, complimentary breakfast and wine and cheese. It’s got it all! Next time I’m in Monterey, this is my choice."
