"We stayed in thsi hotel because it is walking distance from the cruise terminal. Rooms are small, but clean. The staff is very friendly and the buffet breakfast is very well served. "

"Super clean historic house converted to a really nice, informal hotel. They offer breakfast and have a bar for drinks. Central location and friendly staff. Easy to get to restaurants, shops, pubs and public transport. Not sure about parking as we travelled by train. The property has no lift to the upper floors, but reception staff will help with luggage, and you can ring reception from the room. Robust WiFi signal, air con and windows that actually open. "Staff and location were awesome. It was clean and safe. Convenient to shopping, and dinning. The only problem was the shower. It would not regulate no matter what I did. It was either too hot or too cold and nothing in between. Other than that I had an excellent time. "

Modern bedroom resembling Premier Inn, good value for the price paid snd in an ideal location as we were passing through Basingstoke on the way to Southampton. Breakfast was not included but offered at a supplement. Variety offered on the menu looked good but we overslept in the comfortable beds and so had to run. "

Should have asked if they had a couple of softer pillows.
