"Lovely place to stay. We stayed here as we were visiting Cheddar Gouge. Friendly staff and nice pub downstairs. Big family room and massive bathroom. Everywhere was clean and and well decorated. Nice breakfast included. Highly recommend."

"A very cool/reserved welcome. Check-in seems like an effort. Quickly settled and sat outside for a drink - went inside because the language was disgusting. The swearing inside was no better and neither was the misogynistic comments from the senior members. Good place to stay but let down by the clientele"

"Perfect central location to visit Cheddar Gorge, Wookey Hole, the seaside and Bath. The accommodation was extremely well maintained and presented. A quiet location situated within a riding school, so perfect for those with an interest in horses but not affected by it being a working stable. The kitchen was particularly well equipped with good quality pots, pans and crockery and the host even provided washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, tea, coffee, milk and even cake! A very nice...

"Absolutely fantastic stay here! From the moment we checked in we felt at home and comfortable in the beautiful property. Jan and his colleagues were all helpful, friendly and enthusiastic throughout. Room was absolutely spotless, well appointed and comfortable. Food was exceptional, can’t speak highly enough about the evening meal we had it was absolutely delicious and breakfast in the morning was tasty too, super fresh pastries! "Called for one while exploring the Somerset Levels. Perfect location for managed to book the last room, this was the largest of all the rooms available comfortable, clean & very spacious. The propriter was very welcoming on arrival and made us tea to take in the rear."

"The pub is an old building, therefore there are things that cannot be changed, so if you are a light sleeper and cannot use ear plugs this may not be for you. It was not an issue for us. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the food was excellent, we had one evening meal there, breakfast was perfect, they were very accommodating by tweaking the menu to what you prefer. Very close to the caves and gorge, easy to access other attractions."

"A excellent stay prior to a flight from Bristol Airport. Restaurant was excellent with a good selection of food and drinks. The staff made you feel welcome. Car parking was great and only 15-20 minutes from the airport. Will definitely stay again."
