"The room was amazing and very clean. Catherine welcomed us at the door. We had the best nights sleep ever and woke up feeling refreshed and enjoyed the best breakfast we have had in a long while. After breaking Catherine took us around to see some of the animals they have. I would rate this a 20/10 and would highly recommend staying here. We will be back again next year. "The hotel is quite dated in some communal areas, but generally clean. Stayed in a standard twin room (Room 216). The bathroom was far too small requiring you step to the side of the toilet to easily close the door. The shower has a high step up into it, which clearly is an ongoing issue as there is a sign warning guests to take extra care getting in and out. The buffet breakfast is everything you need, but the layout creates a problem in some places, especially where the tea and coffee machine is located, as this is the entrance to the food area and gets clogged in busy periods, so would benefit being moved elsewhere."

"Room was excellent, comfortable and well equipped, the coffee and press were a nice surprise. Had dinner at the pub which was quick, fresh and tasty. Staff are friendly and helpful. Took a stroll to the castle which was nice too. Would recommend"
