"We had a great time! The room itself was nothing fancy but clean and comfortable. The location is amazing! It’s in the middle of the vibrant neighborhood of Russian Hill. We could walk to everything! Highly recommend. "

"Very clean, sweet, old timey but not depressing room. No view (unless you count the fire escape), window unit AC which we didn't use but would blow directly into one of the two beds. Claw foot bathtub shower with a curtain that feels a bit like a shroud surrounding you. Breakfast was just ok, dry scrambled eggs, a glacial paced toaster, but it's more than continental. The lobby, bar, elevator and hallways are charming and the staff is terrific. If you can get a room at the right price, book it. "

"Housekeeping staff were amazing, super friendly and so helpful, rooms absolutely spotless, huge shower room in Rm 202 2nd floor, right next to elevator. Fab room as we had loads of cases & bags. Prime location, we actually walked to Ghiardelli square and Fisherman's Wharf from there, used Waymos quite a lot they were super fun 😁 The only con I have is for some unkown reason in San Francisco, folks like to roar about on motorbikes from about 7pm-12am ish and from our room, quite loud,...

"The premises and room were pristine and in top notch condition. Everything seemed brand new and the beds were dream to sleep upon...though I was pretty drunk by the time I got to it, so my judgement might be off. Location is perfect for a real local taste of San Francisco. Polk street and its cross streets are packed with funky bars such as Kosy Kar, Lush Lounge, and Soda Popinski. Van Ness has my favorite SF meaty eatery of all time: Tommy's Joynt. Though if you're a pure tourist in the city,...
