"Breakfast was good; however, they can’t cope when it’s busy. They are lacking in the areas of cleanliness and customer service. When we initially checked in, we were given a dirty room with dirty bedding and dirty mirrors. You could see that no one had bothered to check or even clean the room. The remote control was cello-taped at the back, and the batteries kept moving out of place. The telephone itself was damaged. I tried to call using my cellphone, but no one answered. The hair dryer was another disaster. We complained about the room, and the next day you could see the difference when we walked in—it was like a different room. The cleaner did an amazing job cleaning the room and changing the bedding. The lady at reception the next day was nice, and the maintenance lady was also very kind and helpful. They are the people who made a difference. They put a new phone in the room and provided a new remote. I just wish all staff were as consistent as the reception lady, the maintenance lady, and the cleaner. It’s sad that they are excellent at their jobs, but a few bad apples ruin it all. At breakfast, we were made to wait for more than 6 minutes just for someone to assign us a table, and they were not busy. The young lady just looked at us, ignored us, and did not even acknowledge us. She disappeared for about 6 minutes; after that, she told us we could go and sit down."

"Doesnt live up to the 9.2 rating but was perfectly acceptable and good value. We booked our breakfast for the following day and I asked if they had Lactose free milk. No... they didnt have it... but by the morning she had been out and bought some especialy for me. So 10 out of 10 for that. Good selection for continental breakfast and was even offered scrambled eggs on toast. The place is dated but was ok for a couple of nights. "

"Unfortunately, the property did not meet reasonable cleanliness or maintenance standards. On arrival, the oven and hob were visibly dirty with grease and residue, and the kitchen overall did not appear to have been properly cleaned. There was no bin provided anywhere in the property, only loose bin bags left for guests to manage waste themselves. The bathroom showed visible mould around the shower area. This is a hygiene issue that should not be present in a paid short-term let. The sofa in the living area was stained and one section had collapsed, making it uncomfortable and not fit for proper use. Bedding was heavily pilled, the pillows were thin with synthetic covers, and only one pillow per bed was supplied. The overall standard felt low quality relative to the price paid. These issues were raised during the stay to allow the host an opportunity to address them, but no resolution was offered. With proper cleaning, maintenance and basic quality control, this property could be improved. In its current condition, however, it does not reflect the standard or value suggested by the listing."

"Room was filthy. Freezing cold all night even with windows shut, no radiator in room. Drug bags down the side of the bed. Stains on the duvet. Damp towel left on floor. Uncooked pizza on windowsill from last occupant so room clearly wasn’t cleaned. Entire room smelt of cigarettes. Avoid"

"We needed a place close to Stoke for an event we were all attending with friends. This place was perfect for the 6 of us that stayed there. The hours is very large, with a large kitchen and all amenities. We did not use the TV, so unsure of that function and options. It was nice to have 2 full bathrooms. There is a large fenced back yard where kids could play."

"Property owners agent (Travelnest) decided to cancel my booking without instruction. This caused a payment issue which ended in the property owner making threatening calls in regards to payment and demanding direct payment. This caused untold stress on my family to secure there stay for the second night stay. On top of this the kitchen did not have all of the necessary utensils needed to be able to prepare food, the downstairs toilet isnt fitted securely to the floor, plaster damaged in several room and the kitchen floor was filthy. The location is very busy with a lot of traffic noise including a lot of emergency vehicles. We wont be back"
