"This is the second time I have stayed at Magnolia. Staff were friendly and helpful across the board. Room didn't have much of a view but was clean and updated. Small hotel, close to the harbor and all the wonderful things to do when walking downtown. Highly recommend."

"The hotel asks you if you want to "go green" by foregoing maid service during your stay, which is fine; they then tell you that they will charge you $150 for cleaning if you don't run the dishwasher when you check out; then they leave you an envelope to tip the maid team! Why would I tip the maid team when I didn't use them and you threatened me with a $150 fee if I didn't clean up after myself? The room was called a suite, but was not a suite - a suite implies separate sleeping and sitting...

"Located in quiet neighbourhood but only a few blocks away from Legislature building and major bus stops. Staff are very friendly and helpful. I found water pressure for shower is a bit weak, but big clean room & bathroom. Amenities are good too."

"The Pendray Room is a dream to stay in. The gardens on the property are lovely. The breakfasts are so well presented and delicious. The staff were all so cheerful and welcoming. "There is a courtesy shuttle, that takes you on short city trips. Great ambiance and a very pleasant experience. "

"The location is excellent as it is slightly away from downtown, however, a good walking distance to cross the bridge to be at the heard of most tourist locations. The hotel itself can do a renovation, a bit dated although it is still very clean and tidy. The room I was assigned to was very disappointing as it faced to a wall completely and had no view whatsoever."

"Breakfast & the staff were the best. A king size bed & a more updated heating/cooling system would have made our stay more pleasant. Ac/heat kept cycling and making abrupt changes/noise & kept my wife awake. "
