"When I arrived they were sold out, and they said they had reserved rooms for people who had booked through third parties (glad I went through Expedia!) but they transferred me from a double to a bunk bed! 400 bucks for a bunk bed?! I don't think so. (It was still private, but very awkward.) I asked for a discount, and they gave me a $50 credit to food and beverage - which I used the next night."

"We booked our stay well in advance for a family event. Checked in early, and was told a crib for our infant would be up in a few minutes. Two hours later at the crib did not arrive. We stopped by the front desk again and they told us the crib would be right up another hour later they told us they would have to check with another hotel to borrow a crib. Another hour and a half later, they told us that we would not be able to get a crib. What were we supposed to do with our infant? They advise...

"Great housekeeping staff and nice accommodations. Located in a nice area, but far from metro and tourist areas. Terrible setup by being located within a building and the hotel lobby is inaccessible from the building lobby."

"Booked the Royal Sonesta because it was recommended as extremely dog friendly. It was fine, nothing special, no special accommodations for pets like the Hay Adams or other pet friendly places to stay. The restaurant didnt offer basics like grilled chicken or hard boiled eggs etc. So I walked elsewhere for breakfast & lunch. Its a dead area, nothing to do. We walked into Chinatown one day which was fine but otherwise I drove everywhere. The in & out parking was way more money than listed. I...

"It was a nice lovely historica hotel. I was at the room 206 and like the space with the desk that seems to be a good zone. Everything is clean, we did not have any breakfast, Hotel staff are friendly and helpful and also help open the door for us, which some hotels do not have anymore as most hotel has automatically door so this reminds me of the old time. The hotel is clean and I love the wall decoration. If we will be back to DC, I recommend this hotel. Good location!"

"Property was confusing to find. Hallways needed to be vacuumed. Room was very clean and stocked with a few things. Beds were comfortable. Shower worked well. Breakfast was mediocre at best and definitely not worth the $30.00 price tag per person. Staff was friendly."
