Like most older buildings the room was not air conditioned and was a little too warm overnight despite a fan being in the room. Overall would throughly recommend it unless mid-summer. "The check in staff was amazing! Liv in particular was extremely helpful:) The rooms were decorated in a fun and cheeky manner but had all of the modern amenities needed for a very comfortable stay. The Woodsmen’s restaurant was outstanding. We had the Sunday Roast and it was one of the best meals we have ever had. The entire stay at the hotel was wonderful."

"We booked a two night stay as we had booked theatre tickets, the location was fantastic and having parking available, albeit for a price, was helpful.
All the staff were friendly and helpful although we were initially sent to the wrong bedroom at the end of a very long corridor which we then had to walk back with luggage…. We understand these things happen but not the ideal welcome.

"I booked through Expedia and didn't realise that even though it says the hotel has air con. That is only if you book a room with air con. Standard rooms don't have it. Our first roo. Had a meagre fan and smelt bad. However the staff were great and moved us to a room with air con and we were lucky as it was the last one!
But the bathroom was not clean. Had to get people to come and clean the bath which had scummy around it at the bottom and the room door was broken and the top.

"The property if fabulous! The grounds and gardens are beautiful! Our apartment was nice, however the bedrooms upstairs were warm as it was unseasonally warm weather.There were fans in both bedrooms which helped a lot. We also had breakfast there and it was very good. The staff was very polite and helpful. I would stay again."
