"This motel is a great deal $ for SF. Our room (and presumably all others) are newly renovated and super clean. The bathroom is especially nice with a giant walk in shower. The beds were great. If I were to stay here again, I would ask for a room at the back as the rooms facing Lombard are very noisy. Adding black out curtains to the rooms would go a long way to absorb some of the sound. "The remodeled rooms are excellent. Tasteful furnishings, silent climate control, cordial, efficient staff, secure parking, very comfortable bed. Two very minor issues: Motels still do not give you a soft pillow option. I prefer down or down-like. I found a long, black hair on the floor in the bathroom - housekeeper or guest (definitely not mine!)"

"We had a wonderful stay at the Castle Inn from the efficient check in and hassle free check out. The room was clean and spacious. The location is also close to restaurants, bars and grocery market. I would stay there again and recommend it. Parking is also included and a bonus. "

"I always like to stay here when I'm visiting San Francisco, for two important reasons: (1) free self-parking, and (2) proximity to North Beach and the Wharf. The rooms are also comfortable and spacious. This time there was an added bonus: a nice view of the SF skyline out my window, with the TransAmerica Building, the Salesforce Tower and the Saints Peter and Paul Church in the distance. Downsides: (1) you can't plug a streaming device into the TV -- no HDMI port, and (2) the heater...
