"Gorgeous view, useful amenities like hair dryer, clothing iron, etc. Regularly cleaned pool. Beautiful breakfast area/restaurant. Very close by beach — 2-3 minute walk from rooms."

"Very helpful and friendly staff. Excellent food and service at the restaurants. Excellent service at the bars. Resort was very clean but definitely had some areas that seem worn from wear and tear. More poolside loungers and umbrellas are needed to better meet demand. Didn't seem like the children's pool area got a lot of use while we were there. Everyone congregated at the main pool. Could also use more umbrellas among the beach loungers."

"This is the only place we will stay in Cancun. It has everything you need and the staff is extremely friendly. The rooms are clean and everything smells amazing. There is live music every night and the music by the pool changes throughout the week. The food is perfect and there is a wide variety to choose from. I could not recommend this place more!"

"The riu ventura was great, super clean, friendly staff and stiff drinks if you wanted them. The only complaint I have was the food. I was always able to find something to eat at the buffet but the food was not the highlight of the trip. This next part has nothing to do with Riu but I booked my vacation with expedia and that was a nightmare. First of all my flight got canceled and no one notified me. I only learned of it when I went to check into my flight roughly 18 hours before I was set to leave. So I had to purchase last minute tickets that cost $2000.00 practically doubling the cost of my trip. So with my original flight, I was supposed to be in cancun by 9 a.m but because I had to buy different tickets, I didn't land until 10 p.m loosing a full day of vacation. I also had rented my car through expedia and because I was not there at 9 a.m and arrived at 10 p.m I lost my car rental. I was not refunded any money and had to pay for another car rental. But I guess im somewhat responsible for that beings I didn't call and let them know I was going to be late but I figured as long as I arrived the same day that I was supposed to, everything would be fine... I was wrong. So in short, screw expedia."
