"The property is in a quiet cul de sac of the village. Note there are street lights in the cul de sac but none in the village. You need a torch.
The place was clean. Good sized bathroom. Well equipped kitchen especially if you want to cook for yourself.
The cottage is an ideal base for visiting the area with many attractions a short drive away.
There is no where to eat within walking distance but the 2 local pubs are a short walk and the locals are very friendly.
As we were there for a week...

"We really enjoyed our night at The Old Manor house. Parking is excellent, and the facilities were perfect. We took advantage of the communal lounge and played some games with hot chocolate. Had a lovely meal at The Lamb in Uxbridge. Breakfast was excellent."

"The hotel is perfectly positioned as a base for the caves and mill. The rooms are clean and the staff helpful. Catering is a little quirky as the restaurant can't accommodate large numbers wanting to eat at the same time. We had an issue with a booking for dinner which they then could not honour, so we had to call in a pizza when already late, and then our pre-booked breakfast could not be accommodated without negotiation upon which we were given half an hour for a family of 4. "Bedroom really needs updating and TLC. Carpet was marked and mattress saggy and uncomfortable.
Bath panel needs repainting. Very weird door in bedroom that when opened had a duvet hanging between our door and the one immediately behind. Beautiful old building but difficult to shut windows and paint peeling. On a positive, the food in the restaurant was good and staff were all friendly. Lovely little village with some nice one off shops/cafes. I think the price is high for a basic pub...
