"A terrible experience. Very tired hotel and spa facilities. Poor staff, rude and unhelpful. Complaints have taken a week so far to hear anything back. It appears there are a long list of people complaining."

"Stayed for two nights in room 1. Staff were fantastic. Lovely breakfast on both days. Nice meal sitting outside in the sun. The wi fi was very good which is important as the phone service is non existent in this area. The village is quiet and picturesque."

"It was a lovely property with an interesting history. We visited in the middle of a heat wave and without any A/C and being unable to open the windows more than a few inches, the rooms were hot! A nice quiet fan was provided but it made the heat slightly less unbearable. Thank goodness for the pool! The staff were pleasant and helpful."

"There was no privacy once you draw back the curtains as the room as front facing. There was no A/C in the room which made it difficult on a hot summer day. Staff said that swimming pool was not very big so had to inform them before using to avoid overcrowding."

"Drunk male receptionist took ages to check us in , then given me a room I haven’t book . I have booked one family large room 145 - two green standing single beds and double bed room and I was given one double bed , one single and pull out of this bed to sleep on the floor type matrasse bed , when I questioned this he said that I was suppose to be told this when booked - nonsense I booked via this page with photos of the room - freestanding two single beds !!!"

"The property was a period property with lots of character, it was clean and tidy with excellent staff who went above and beyond. We dined at the restaurant which was amazing!"

"I was little disappointed as when I booked through hotels.com platform,they advertised it as breakfast included free but then when I arrived at the hotel, I was told breakfast was not included. They didn't tell me the cost of the breakfast until I asked, neither was I given a receipt of my payment made (I should have asked but I had three little kids to sort out and it slipped out of my mind) The room was stuffy, there was a fan which only had speed control and didn't do a great job. "The room was clean and very convenient as it had an external door to the car park. The room was too hot, not helped by the towel radiator which always on. Not needed when the weather outside was 25⁰C. The staff were welcoming and helpful. We had breakfast in the moving of our departure which set us up for the rest of the day."

Room was lovely which was cleaned daily. The best shower pressure! Tea coffee, water and juice in the room. Great location, walking distance to Esher town centre and the Racetrack!
