"Location was good and grounds are spacious to sit out and wander about on a dry day. Building and room in need of some TLC. My room had a burnt iron mark on floor, telephone had no line, staff said they were updating lines. Kettle leaked when it boiled. Side table lamp didn’t work. Dirty marks on bathroom door, bath in need of a good scrub. Had no hot showers during my 2 night stay. I called from my mobile, spoke to a gentleman asking to check it in the morning. "We had a great stay in the Bridge. In particular the staff and the restaurant was excellent. Loads of parking in a very pretty place. Typical Lakes rooms that great in a proper old coaching inn. We would stay again."

I would leave a note for guests arriving early that they can leave their cars in the car park before check in as my partner kept going back to check with someone (anxiety) and there wasn't anyone around to ask. "Amazing location and amazing hotel. We loved our stay however it could do with some refurbishment. It is a dog friendly place so maybe could do with a deep clean in the restaurant area. The food was good but all the dog hair everywhere was a bit unpleasant. However we would still come back."
