"All the staff were fantastic and nothing was ever too much trouble for them. The service was great too. The hotel is in a gorgeous quiet spot surrounded by trees with beautiful gardens. It's conveniently located for St. Peter Port, either to walk the cliff path or use local buses. I have coeliac disease and the care taken with making sure I had gluten free food was very good, I really appreciate this. We enjoyed the Mexican restaurant which is open Tuesday to Saturday. "The hotel was lovely unfortunately just dated mainly bathrooms, but I believe due for little refurbished soon. They went above & beyond to cater for your needs. Sea view location is perfect & met many nice people during our stay! Bus routes outside hotel if you don’t rent or bring your car. "

"Excellent 2 night stay. We booked a balcony bedroom which had the most incredible views across the sea to enjoy the sunset. The rooms are on the small side and the bathroom is compact. However everything is spotless. Downsides would be the thin walls: be prepared to overhear people talking and using the bathroom! And the door to the balcony was hard to open, close and lock. The staff are warm and welcoming and highly efficient. Nothing was too much trouble. The restaurant lacks character but...

"This hotel has a very interesting historical background with all the comforts one expects at a nice hotel. The staff is friendly and receptive to any requests. The room we stayed in was clean, well taken care of by housekeeping and had updated and modern bathroom and lighting/appliances. very nice and comfortable common areas, clean looking pool. excellent included breakfast, continental breakfast as well as hot breakfast made to order. Friendly kitchen staff as well. Also the food at the bar...

"The hotel staff are excellent. They are very helpful and knowledgeable about the area. The hotel is comfortable, if a little dated. You need to let them know if an accessible shower is needed as many rooms have a bathtub shower. The food is available until late evening and the bus stop to town is across the road, while the return stop is just a house away."
