"Our room was clean and the bed comfortable. This is an older property so you have to realize some parts are historic and don’t have amenities you might find in most newer properties. Our room didn’t have a/c. They did have fans and we could open the window. It was cooler outside so our room never got too hot. "Awesome budget spot for a stay with our dogs. Location was great - we enjoyed the quick trip across the highway for a glorious beach sunset- and the room was basic but very clean and comfortable. Parking was easy and staff was great."

"We went with our 2 and 4 year old and it was amazing for our time with them. We went on the beach, did s’mores, swam and jacuzzied. The property itself was perfect for our young family."

"Great place overall. Entrances to steps could be more smooth, creating less risk for falls. Lighting up the drive would be helpful for those walking. Room had minimal furniture. Could use another nightstand or something to put things on. Perhaps a small sofa to watch the TV on. The only options were a little table with chairs or sitting on the two queen beds. Perhaps a dresser by the closet."

"The room was not clean upon arrival. When we were trying to rest the cleaning staff cleaning our neighboring rooms were being really loud. We kept hearing slamming and thumping on the walls. The pipes were also really loud. We were unable to rest at all."

"We stayed for one night and this room provided everything we needed. Great location walking distance to downtown Monterey and the fisherman’s warf, so many yummy food and bites nearby. Very nice and informative front desk, I didn’t catch the name but she was lovely. No issues with our room and was quite spacious for two people. Would come back again when in town."

"Very old and outdated rooms. Weren’t the same shown on Expedia app when booking vs arriving. Had breakfast as part of our package and when arriving to food lodge (which wasn’t told to us at check in and had to find for ourselves) staff asked where are breakfast tickets were and we didn’t know we had to have them and had to go back to check in counter to receive breakfast tickets. Breakfast was cold and bland. Dragonfruit juice was the highlight of breakfast."
