"Beautiful building but lack of attention to detail. Upon arrival in spa, went to make a cup of hot tea and there was no sugar or stir sticks or spoons. Wanted to enjoy the hot tub before massage and it was like a barely warm bath plus the jets were spraying up at your face so you couldn’t sit without getting water in the face. " I have a few comments regarding our stay. I wasn’t expecting a five star but in some ways a 3 star was a little overrated. We were greeted by the most loveliest helpful receptionist. He was 5*. "This property is stunning. It has great access to the small villages nearby and its own property is situated on lots of beautiful acreage. The rooms are lovely, and the breakfast was outstanding. The staff contributed substantially to making this a wonderful day."

"Flagged as a 5* hotel, but more like a 3* as no comparison with Eastbournes other 5* the Grand. An Impressive building on the seafront, and ok but some irritating things such as a 1900's lift! with concertina double doors that were very heavy to open/close. Fortunately the staff were alert to it and frequently helped out. Its Quaint but soon became annoying. "Room was a little small and showing signs of ware and tare. Excellent breakfasts with fresh fruit salads, continental spread, hot food cooked to order and tasty. I did not try the lunch or dinner but I noticed a lack of vegetarian options. I also did not try the indoor pool or gym. I had afternoon tea there which was a bit pricey and underwhelming."
