"A heritage building full of character with a SUPER convenient location! While you definitely visually see its age in the hallways and rooms, all is maintained well and clean. ALL of the hotel staff (front desk, manager, valets, maintenance, housekeeping) that I met during my stay, from mid-day to late evening (I’m not a morning person) were SUPER helpful, kind and empathetic. I cannot thank them enough for their assistance during my stay (April 23-29/26, Room 430). It truly felt like a home away from home with the staff the community. My stay was unusual (cleared out a local locker, locker contents was delivered to my room) and they were all accommodating with this challenge of mine. A couple of minor issues: TV needed maintenance to fix it twice, coffee maker was defective, housekeeping switched it out, hotel cards were very sensitive to credit cards/cellphone, so I needed replacements several times I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone coming to Santa Monica. It will be my only choice when I come back. Thanks again to Elina, Diana, Francisco, Roderick (?) and all the staff! I wish I remembered everyone’s names."

"We had a great view of the beach with 2 big windows and the location was excellent located right on the beach"

"We had a very nice stay at The Pierside Santa Monica. The location is excellent—just steps from the beach and very convenient for walking around the area. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the breakfast at the hotel restaurant was fresh and very tasty. The only downside was the parking. The valet service is quite expensive, which was surprising since the parking appears to be in the same building as the hotel. Overall, a great stay thanks to the location and service, but the parking cost is something to be aware of."

"You have to pay an additional $38.00 to park in the parking lot of the motel. There was sand all over the sheets. Not worth the price at all. Will not stay there again. We were woke up at midnight to the guests next to us yelling, knocking on doors and banging on the wall. "

"Nothing I would improve on. Clean, great staff, on site free parking, AC, fan, fridge, wifi, beach equipment, two blocks from the beach and many restaurants. We had room 7…great!"

"Staff and spirit of hospitality are in constant supply at Centric. Emerson's service for our birthday party made it perfect. He was patient and anticipated each guest's desires. He helped me feel like I was a great hostess! Manager looked for ways to help us feel at home. Location is convenient and rooms have great orientations towards the ocean and city - not far from beach - far enough to enjoy utterly quiet sleep hours. Nice facilities. Bar and food offerings are well prepared. Good for pleasure and working visits for me."
