"We have stayed at Ennio’s on numerous occasions; each and every time, we are guaranteed a warm and friendly welcome (as I believe all guests get). Condition of property is excellent. To top it off there is a lovely restaurant, with a totally authentic Italian vibe- it can appear a little intimidating, but staff are great. Can’t recommend Ennio’s highly enough."

"We stayed in the room called 'The General' - A gorgeous room in the main building with a lovely four poster bed and a balcony. The room was great, it could just do with a little TLC on a few parts (Very minor). Great staff, lovely pub and wonderful food and drink."

"Lovely room lots of character. The food is excellent and clearly very popular indeed the local area, definitely reserve a table. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They had a breakfast sandwich ready for me to leave early for work which was much appreciated. Will definitely stay again "

"Absolutely stunning, quaint, 500 year old coaching inn with lots of original features. Fantastic location in the centre of the historic market town. Bar, restaurant and large out door seating area. Extremely welcoming, happy and helpful staff. "

"The hotel was lovely and welcoming. The staff couldn’t do enough to help and the night staff even keep the bar open as long as you want. The room was very pleasant, clean, and comfortable. The bar could use some more “bar friendly” seating rather than tables like a restaurant but this is a very small “not perfect” to call out. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here and I would eagerly return. Set in one of the nicest parts of the country with beautiful surroundings."

"Clean room picked riverside four poster . Not really a great riverside view due to flat roof . Water in the evening for the shower was like warm We did mention it and the morning it was sorted . Parking was good and easy . Lovely walk into the city . I thought breakfast was included and considering we already paid £215 midweek I think it was quite expensive without breakfast "

"Stayed here for one night. Room was immaculate with large slipper bath & walk in shower. Plenty of tea & coffee provided & 2 bottles of water. Yhe ki g size bed was really comfortable. The full English breakfast was freshly cooked hot & very tasty. All the staff were very efficient & friendly. Would thoroughly recommend staying here."

"We paid extra for delux rooms and our daughter’s room shower was running slow. The next morning was non existent so they showered in our room When we said about it when we left they said we should have turned the shower head to make the water run better Our argument is that surely it should be correct before we arrived Breakfast took an hour to come out and was ok Other than that it was clean"

"Stayed here with my husband for 4 nights while visiting a relative in the area. While the hotel is a little dated decor-wise the lounge areas, conservatory & the bedroom we had were very spacious & very clean. The restaurant for breakfast is really nice & while the food & service was good a bit of variety on the fruit options would have been welcome - melon & pineapple on all the days we were there is a bit boring! First hotel buffet breakfast I've come across that also didn't offer any yogurt...
