Kastel di Eropa

"We lived the quietness and the fireplace for reading."

"What a gorgeous place. Very quiet with lovely grounds for walking. Staff were very helpful and attentive. Room was at the top of the castle and was very spacious. Food was delicious and even had room service one evening. Would recommend this break."

"A fabulous building and site, which will be first class once they spend a few million on it. In the meantime it has well-refurbished rooms, excellent pool area and was a pleasure to stay. One downside - they do not have a restaurant, although they do have a range of pre-prepared meals they will heat up and serve to you."

"This was our fourth trip from Canada to the UK and our fourth stay at Thornbury Castle. There is something truly magical about staying in a place so steeped in history. The castle’s charm, character, and atmosphere make every visit feel like a special occasion. The staff and service are consistently exceptional, making us feel genuinely welcome each time we return. It’s rare to find a place that continues to impress you visit after visit, but Thornbury Castle never disappoints."

"Room was beautiful. My partner said the chocolate croissant was the best. Scrambled eggs were the best i have ever had. Tour of castle was great. Staff were lovely. Thanks from Australia."

"The place is very clean and within walking distance of the tourist attractions. Thank you."

"Great cute place to stay. Would recommend for couples. The only meal we had was the dinner and it was fantastic."

"What a beautiful property to stay at! We chose to stay here as it is located 30 minutes from the Bordeaux airport and we were flying out the following day. We were greeted as we pulled into the parking lot, helped with our luggage and shown to our room. We enjoyed the spa facilities and a complimentary wine tasting before having dinner at the onsite restaurant. The staff were wonderful and the property was outstanding! We would stay here again."

"Utterly magnificent castle stay, and the best one we have experienced in Gemany. The property is so beautifully and faithfully restored, and the whole experience was impeccable."

"Awesome place!"

"Its a little off the beaten path but quite cool."

"I loved the place and only gave 4 stars as there was no soap in the bathroom or shower. I would stay again."

"This has to be the craziest room I've ever stayed in, in a good way. The floors were sloped the furniture was sloping in line with the floors. Bed comfy amd bathroom was nice and clean. If you are after a quirky stay then this place is for you."

"Beautiful property, Joyce and Aiden were wonderful hosts. We could tell how much love and care they have for what they do. On top of that, best veggie omelette I’ve ever had during breakfast!"

"This is an amazing hotel with a great staff that knows how to deliver a luxury experience from the moment you arrive to the time you depart."
