"The hotel is not modern but has modern upgrades in the rooms and is right on the waterfront. It is the only property for about 4 km so a car is necessary (also needed for the beaches). The restaurant food is high quality. The staff were helpful and eager but they were understaffed while we were there, so seem rushed all the time. "

"Only thing we regret is that we only started one night here as we on the way from Portugal to Spain! We couldn’t say enough about this historical hotel and can’t wait to expect one day we return for the longer stay. The free breakfast was served on an ancient stone table, hotel also served a wonderful dinner, it was delicious! "Clean, comfortable room with a great sea view. Welcoming staff, and a good breakfast. Appreciated the log fire in the lounge in the evening. Hotel is a little dated and the only negative was the rather strong air freshener. Fabulous location makes up for that."
