Staff was very friendly. The environment was welcoming and pleasant. I was in town visiting friends for the taco festival and decided to stay the night here. Upon arrival I noticed hairs on the bed and a stale smell in the king size room. I immediately went to the front desk and the lady upfront handled it and told the housekeeper to put fresh sheets etc on the bed. Later, when I arrived to freshen up I could tell the housekeeper just wiped off the top with her hand. I took videos of before and after to make sure just in case. I was in a rush and didn’t have time to say anything. When my night was over and I was ready to settle in I went to lay down and noticed the same hairs on the sides of the bed. (Same ones she dusted off) So, I pulled back the comforter and behold lots of black crumbs, debris, and hairs. Also, on the pillows. Then I noticed fresh stains on top of the comforter. It was absolutely disgusting! How lazy and gross to think that it is okay to cover that up with a sheet? As if no one would notice. It’s nasty and unsanitary. One job to do and refuse to do it. Even after a complaint and was told to redo it. I paid $200 for the night and it definitely wasn’t worth the stress. I had to call front desk to get fresh sheets to throw on top of the funk just to lay my head down to sleep. I understand that housekeeping is a lot of work, but that’s the job that you signed up for and are getting paid for. Why not do it the right way? I would have slept better at a 2 star

We were there for 3 nights. After the first night we were away during the day, when we returned the used towels had been removed from our bathroom but nothing else was done. We had to call down for fresh towels when we asked staff if it was necessary to request cleaning service they seemed unsure. The following day, we returned to the room late afternoon and nothing had been cleaned, we asked them to at least make up the bed, which they did (they also replaced the towels). Additionally, the floors throughout the hotel needed mopped and vacuumed badly. If they kept the hotel cleaner it would make a huge difference as this is probably the nicest property in Evansville. Granted, we were there during a busy weekend but they need to step it up in the cleaning department if they want guests to return.

They just got new TV’s, which is great, but they have the DirectTv box on the wall behind the TV and you can’t change the channel without standing up and holding it over the top of the TV. Hopefully they get that fixed. Also our room (537) was right next to the elevator and it sounded like a bowling alley all day and all night. Breakfast, they were serving a buffet for $15. They wouldn’t let me buy a To-go order along with my meal to take to my fiance who didn’t feel like coming down to eat. He had to skip breakfast. On a positive note, the bed was comfortable and the location of the hotel was good.

I recently stayed here in Evansville for five days for my son’s birthday, and unfortunately, the experience was disappointing overall. Before arrival, I called to ask if they offered anything small for birthdays (I even said I didn’t mind paying for something simple like a balloon that said “Happy Birthday”). The woman on the phone was very rude and dismissive, which immediately made me feel uncomfortable about the stay. At check-in, however, the manager was extremely kind and welcoming. I don’t remember her name, but she was very sweet and helpful, and I truly appreciated her professionalism. The biggest issue was housekeeping. The hotel states that full cleanings are done on the third day, but throughout my five-day stay, the bed sheets were never changed. I traveled with kids, so I asked daily for light cleaning since the room would get messy. They would make the bed but never replaced the sheets, we slept on the same sheets the entire stay. On the last night, I finally complained, and the manager personally came and fixed everything and changed the sheets. Again, she handled it well, but it shouldn’t have required a complaint after five days. Another major issue was the hot water. It barely worked the entire stay. I’m from Boston, so taking cold showers every day was extremely frustrating, and my kids didn’t like it either. The pool was closed, there’s no breakfast offered, and for the price we paid, it felt very expensive for just a basic bed and room.

We were awaken in the middle of the night a fire alarm was set off false alarm.the hotel needs some way to notifie guest we had to call down to front desk . Breakfast buffett needs more iteams for the price
