"Cant beat the location. Just next to York Minster and tons of restaurants. Walking distance to the Shambles and almost everything. The only issue that actually makes our stay not comfortable is that the hotel does not have Air conditioner. We were there during heat wave and this make the stay in the room really unbearable. The temperature in the room was so much higher than the outside. The staff was nice and try to give us 2 fans and a bucket of ice. Still felt very hot. The breakfast was set...

"The room was lovely, clean and a decent size. The twin beds were like two small double beds, which was amazing, I hate sleeping in a single bed!! Breakfast was buffet style and had a really good selection, the only downside was you couldn’t get a proper cup of tea! The water came out a multi drink machine, so the tea ended up looking frothy (not nice). That aside, we had a lovely stay and will definitely stay again. "

"Room was lovely and comfy. Very clean wth en-suite, shower with amenities, towels body/shower gel, conditioner, hand cream and soap. Comfy double bed, the room had a coffee machine, kettle, fan and hairdryer. 32 inch TV suitable for room size. Complimentary breakfast more of a continental style but not fully. Teas, coffees, cereals, fruit, small selection of juices and toaster and microwave. Host was on hand to make hot drinks and toast, very hospitable and friendly. Guest are welcome to help...

"This is such a lovely hotel, we had a twin room on the top floor. The room was clean and comfortable and had a lot of charm. We had breakfast twice and there is plenty to choose from the menu. We also had an evening meal, the prawn cocktail was delicious and they are not shy on the prawns it seemed endless and very fulfilling,followed by salmon and potatoes that was cooked perfectly. The staff were so nice and helpful and nothing was to much .The property itself is a 15 min walk from the train...
