"We had an amazing stay at Castanheiro Boutique Hotel. The staff couldn’t be more accommodating and friendly. Any request was granted with a smile. Our room had long views over the sea and the surroundings. We enjoyed using the rooftop pool and spa pool with the sauna and steam room. A very varied variety of the inclusive breakfast each morning set us up for each day. The hotel is perfectly placed for walking to central Funchal, and a very short walk to the beach "

"We love Porto Mare and have stayed a few times before. The facilities are great and the staff are very welcoming! The breakfast buffet is the BEST! This time we bought the three dinners at Atlantida restaurant, all of which we fab but the fish and seafood night was the highlight! Our room was clean and had a lovely view over the gardens We’ll be back in 2026 :)"

"It was the perfect room over looking the ocean. It was a great way to start my birthday weekend. The staff was exceptional. I really appreciated the little extra touches, like having a birthday cake made out of towels and flowers and an actual birthday cake in my room. It's convenient to a lot of things.
