"I was a solo traveler visiting Edinburgh for the first time- I had originally booked a hotel on Victoria street but switched to the Horton for a more price convienent option. I’m very happy I did- I was only about a 10 minute walk from Victoria street and it was nice to not wake up right in the middle of all the tourists. I called the hotel ahead of time and explained I was a solo traveler so requested not to put me on a ground floor. They were very accommodating putting me on a second floor...

"Excellent location with comfortable and clean accommodations. The Grosvenor suite was very spacious, the bathroom was a bit small, but functional. However, It would not have worked for 2 people. A refrigerator and microwave would be nice at least in a common area. Otherwise everything was top notch. Ryan's pub nearby was fantastic! "

"The best part of this hotel was all of it! The location was fantastic for a great view of the castle, less than a minute walk to Grassmarket full of fantastic history, food and drinks. The room was perfect and the bed was so comfortable. I would recommend this to people who want to be close to it all but don’t want to hear it all. Since the hotel is not right on the main strip and not near the hustle and bustle you can actually rest and be ready for the next day. Cannot say enough about...
