"The property far exceeded our expectations, clean, tidy and warm, it is located in a quiet location on the grounds away from the main house any you feel like your totally self contained. The owner lets you be, and sent just a couple of courteous emails in case we wanted things like change of towels. the property is only about 7min drive to the centre of Canterbury. "

"We stayed for six nights, there was some fluff on the floor when we checked in, it was still there when we checked out! One evening, we had a decent lunch so only wanted a snack in the evening. We both had ham sandwiches which while nice ham, no attempt had been made to present them, for example, a salad garnish would have gone a long way. "Hotel was very clean and well maintained. The employees went out of their way to be helpful and friendly. The bar was so quaint and cool, good food also. The breakfast buffet in the morning was outstanding. The hotel is ocean front with great views and close to city center. It’s also walkable to the castle. Just a great hotel!"

"Howfield Manor is a really lovely hotel. Quite a unique venue. The staff were so helpful. This is my second time at the hotel yesterday was for sisters Celebration of Life. We were in the marque which was beautifully laid out, the food was extremely good and the staff were very helpful. We had a lovely room which was very clean and we had a superb view of the gardens. Highly recommended."
