"I LOVED Carol. She was welcoming and kind, made an amazing breakfast for me, answered all my questions. A great hostess. My room (12) was super clean and the bed was comfortable. Lots of pillows and extra blankets. Nice big TV. The water pressure was really low but I think that’s typical in older buildings. The garden was peaceful and I enjoyed sitting there in the evening with a glass of wine. Great stay. Traveled from Canada."

"The room and the entire property was very well presented and fresh. The restaurant was also exceptional with top level table service and a great menu. Only negatives are that road facing room was a little noisy during the morning and evening rush hours and the security light in the room was quite intrusive. We thoroughly enjoyed our one night stop over."

After a long hard day working at Harewood House food festival we arrived to check in at 8pm to be told we had to pay to park in the hotel car park (like they didn’t charge enough for the crap room to cover the cost of this and they certainly don’t put that money to the upkeep of the hotel) We have stayed in many hotels but this by far is the worst. "The staff are lovely and the food is amazing. The lunchtime sharing boards are brilliant. We loved the location, especially the short walk along the canal into town. The only downside was the lack of a lift. I've been told to pack less for next time!!"

However I was not impressed with the room servicing, it had something on the floor that was left there and the shampoo bottle I used was left there as I had left it not replenished either.
