"They cancelled my booking a few days before I was due to arrive. Didn't tell me or Expedia. Only found out when I called to check about parking. They said they didn't like people who chose the free cancellation option.
In which case why offer it? And how is that a reason to cancel a booking before the payment was even due? I would have turned up with my family and had nowhere to stay.

"The property was in an ideal location, just off Trafalgar Square. The room however was not that great.
The room was extremely small with a huge pillar in the centre of the room.
The TV wasn’t working. The bathroom/toilet door wasn’t working properly and got stuck shut on two occasions.
The shower also didn’t work properly due to a bent hose that let very little water out.
After complaining to the front desk, all the issues were sorted the following day.

"This is the second time I stayed here. The first time my window looked out at a brick wall less than 3 metres away. I couldn't see anything other than the wall, no sky or anything, which was depressing. Otherwise it was ok and the breakfast was pretty good.

"tiny rooms for the price. Which is fine but their staff was terrible. I requested them multiple times during my 3 day stay to clean my room. They did not do it once!!! They offered me to replace my towels and then no one turned up! This was after I complained about their service.
