"The Lodge is of superb quality,massive bedrooms and on suites so nice..Hot tub was asn option but not used.Staff on reception first class..Breakfast was good but spoilt a little by rather surly staff.. Overall a lovely experience and wouldnt hesitate to recommended "

"It is a quirky place. Looks very plain from the front but was a lovely place to stay. Great service from arrival to departure. Food was superb. After checking out we were on our way to Sunderland when we realised we hadn't tipped the staff so, we turned back and did so. That's how good it was. Will definitely return."

"Had a lovely relaxing time with my girlfriend and her husband, room was so clean and had everything we needed, absolutely loved being able to log into Netflix on the tv which was a great size. We were checked in by a lovely young man who also served us our food, he was very attentive and even brought us extra sides for our burgers. I appreciate putting 3 bottles in might be a waste but 2 between the 3 of us would have been better and 2 packs of biscuits would have meant we could all have 1 biscuit.
