"It was a fine stay with a very well crafted meal plan. Everything was beautiful. I did not use either of the bathing facilities (public or private). I think my only issue is that from my room (412) there was a light shining in from across the way and very traditional Japanese window blocker didn’t quite do enough to block the light out, but that didn’t make the experience a negative one."

"This is my second time staying at this ryokan and quite frankly I will always keep coming back to Kyoto and staying at this specific ryokan. The wife loved it and enjoyed the onsen more than she expect too. This however wasnt my first time."

"One of my favorite hotels I stayed in! Hot springs were incredible, room and shared spaces were very clean. It’s a bit away from all the crowds but still close enough to the station and bus stops making it easy for transportation to farther places when you don’t feel like walking or weather isn’t the best. Huge fan of the late night ramen and ice cream available! Would definitely return."

"The hotel is a short walk from the Kyoto station. The property itself is elegant! Our room was spacious and beautiful. The beds were very comfortable and everything was clean. The window didn't have much of a view considering the hotel is in the city, but there was a small rock garden just outside that made up for it. The buffet breakfast offered both Western and traditional Japanese fare and was delicious. It was worth the extra cost. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting...
