The buffet is actually tasty which you can’t really get at many all inclusive. From check in to bar, to towel and pool services, top notch hospitality. We can’t wait to go back!"

"The Riu Palace is well designed, well appointed and I appreciated the attention to detail i.e. washrooms (WC’s) were kept clean. The room was comfortable and service was efficient. Reception was friendly and fast. My only knock on staff was not the people (to a person, they were great), but more so the need for more pool-side servers; 3-4 more during the day would have made for less (necessary) trips to the bar. The beach is well located, allowing for a large number of chairs for those who prefer the sand and those that prefer pool-side."

"Many people have complained about this hotel to me and then they admit they’ve stayed there 10 times or more. Obviously they liked it more than they admitted. "

"The whole hotel was top notch except EXCEPT the musty smell in our room. And the sewer smell in our room..we figured it out. Wasn't from the bathroom..nor outside. It was the AC vents. Very gross. So we left the balcony door open partways day and night and survived. I give it a 3.instead of a 1 because the whole resort is beautiful. Food is amazing. It's right on the beach. And the room.itself looks great and beds very comfortable but that smell!!!!!"

"Quiet AC, comfortable beds, friendly staff. Beach "access" next door is poor -- not permitted to sit on chairs or be shaded under umbrellas. So if you stay at Mio you have to buy an expensive day pass to use the beach next door."
