They do appear to have a programme of renovations in hand, but our corner room had several cracked window panes and dated furnishings. "Check-in was quick and simple. Clean and spacious room with a good walk-in shower. However, the TV kept losing its signal which was rather annoying. Breakfast is a hot and cold self-serve buffet. The evening menu has a good variety of choices. On-site parking is limited and was full by about 16:00 on the two nights we stayed."

"Clean rooms with everything you would expect in most hotels. Complimentary water in the room was welcomed especially as we stayed when temperatures were higher. Only upgrade that would be helpful is air-conditioning although we were lucky we had a cross draught with the window and balcony doors which helped hugely. "Room was clean, although I was put into a room in an annex that didn't look like the one in the photo. Some of the staff were very nice, but one was not friendly or accommodating, at all. For example, arriving after a 14-hour journey, I was not allowed to check into my room 30 minutes early. I had to wait in the lounge with all my luggage until the clock struck 3!"

"Reception staff were very helpful but restaurant staff were slow to serve. There were very few customers and after giving us the menu and us waiting half an hour, I had to find a different member of staff to come and take my order. This said the restaurant staff were courteous and friendly."

"Comfortable stay at the Mill. Food in restaurant was good and fantastic views over common land from several outdoor seating areas. Good bars and excellent service. No lift"

"Self check-in failed to work. Had to wait for a staff member to do everything again in order to print keycard correctly, what a waste of time. Room stifling hot and windows didn’t open. One window pane appeared to be missing from the two layers which should’ve been present - leading to road noise being very evident throughout the night. "The ground floor room was fine, with easy access to the parking area. The shower room was very clean and modern; the bedding was immaculate on a comfortable bed; it was a shame the carpet hadn't been vacuumed.
