"Walked in room wasn’t ready offered to sit in the bar and wait. It was like going back to the 80s Butlins style. Dated hotel nothing warm and friendly and very dated & gloomy reception area was clinical and hospital like! Walked through the bar and out of the exit. Got into car and didn’t go back. Such a shame as had booked for a surprise for my husbands birthday. So dissatisfied. People who say first impressions count well this did and disappointed! Lost the money I had paid! "On arrival staff were very welcoming. We were able to check in a little earlier and shown to our room and given all the info we needed for our stay. Quirky little pub with entrance to our room up a little staircase through the kitchen area. Stairs maybe a little tricky for some as they are quite steep. "The let down were breakfast where things you come to expect to be available such as cereals, fruit juices, jams, and fruit we not available except as an additional cost. When I collected my bill, I saw that a glass of orange juice at breakfast juice £11. The other disappointment was the Spa which cost £70 per couple if you use it. "Lovely adapted room good service"

"First time staying and we were impressed. Rooms are spacious and clean. Having a bath in our family room would have been better for our younger children. The receptionist was very helpful, welcoming and friendly! The restaurant food was good. The breakfast was brilliant, lots of choice. Great for both adults and children. I would definitely recommend and would stay again. "

"A very tired hotel, rooms & spa facilities. Bedrooms are in desperate need of refurbishment. Our sink & bath didn’t drain. The hand soap dispenser didn’t work. The spa is exceptionally tired. Mould around the sinks. Breakfast had a good selection but it had all been sat out for some time. Overall, a disappointing stay I wouldn’t recommend it. "
