We checked in on Christmas Eve and were really pleased with how clean and tidy everything was. Our twin room on the 11th floor was spotless, comfortable, and check‑in was smooth. A decent view of the city.
Later that evening we ordered room service — the food was delicious. I had fish and chips and my daughter had a burger, and we both enjoyed our meals. The beds were extremely comfortable and I slept very well.
Only issue was the TV, which had very few channels to watch.
On Christmas Day we went down for breakfast. There was plenty of choice, including pancakes, although mine were unfortunately cold. Everything else was lovely, and a special thank you to the chef who offered me some very spicy pepper sauce to go with my mackerel — a great personal touch.
We also used the pool, steam room and sauna. The front desk staff were welcoming, and the facilities were clean, tidy, and quiet, which made the experience even better.
I had requested a late checkout several times via chat, email and at check‑in, hoping for something closer to 4pm as we had a local dinner reservation and the hotel wasn’t very busy on Christmas Day. We were kindly given a 2pm checkout, which we appreciated, but it still left us sitting in reception for two hours.
