Great hotel as a solo traveller. Booked as i was seeing a show up in the town. Location was amazing and the walls are sound proof so i slept like a baby! The breakfast looked amazing but i didn't purchase as the night before I bought myself some fresh croissants, juice and fruit from Sainburys across the road so i could have breakfast in bed! The hotel did provide coffee, tea and a kettle so it was perfect for what i needed. The bed was super comfy and the TV was great. Although i couldn't pair it with my phone which was a bit frustrating. But not a deal breaker.
The only downside to my whole experience was the lady who was initially at the check in desk when i arrived. Check in wasn't until 3 but i had contacted the property to ask if an earlier check in was at all possible as the show i was seeing was starting at 2.30pm. The night manager was so helpful and explained if my room was ready i could check in early, and if it wasn't they could keep my bags safely for me. When i arrived and asked if this would be possible the lady at the front desk told me there would be a £10 early check in fee. I showed her the email I'd had from the night manager and she very quickly changed her tune and said there wouldn't be a charge. I felt like she was trying to get extra money from me for her own benefit as i had not seen anywhere else about an early check in fee.
Would 100% recommend staying here and will be back next time i come up to town. Location was perfect. Room was immaculate!
