"We had a lovely room which had a roll top bath in a very big bathroom Staff were friendly and the pub was relaxing. Breakfast was good to set you up for the day It was in a remote area so in the evening there wasn’t anywhere to walk to and other pubs were of driving distance not walkable.."

"Lovely setting. The scenery out our window was superb! We were there on a couple of the hottest days of the summer, and even though there is no air conditioning, our room had a big circulating fan which helped immensely. We liked the quiet, low-key atmosphere of the place. Very restful!"

"As soon as we arrived we were greeted nicely and given the information needed and were checked in. The room was fantastic, large, clean and really well equipped, the bed was huge and very comfortable, we had a nice view and the bathroom was clean and roomy. "Probably one of my favorite UK stays. I booked the morning of as a bit of a spur of the moment decision. The price was absolutely fantastic, the room that I got could not be beat. The staff are all incredibly kind and helpful. Jess the supervisor was an absolute gem. The food is great, if I’m ever in the area again I will absolutely be staying here. Can’t recommend it enough!"

"Situated on the ground floor during a heatwave wasn’t great. We were left wondering if all the rooms in the hotel were full and perhaps they could have located us in a room with a window that opened. The young man who served us for the evening meal was very attentive and very polite which was nice to see. Not so the staff at breakfast."

"We had a late check in (out of staffed hours) and it could not have been easier. We made contact to make sure it was ok, on arrival we got access and our room key with no fuss. Located the room and it was all very fresh feeling and lovely. It being one of the hottest nights of the year and there no built in aircon (welcome to England), but the fan kept us cool and the whole set up was really good. Check out was very simple too."

"Eckington Manor is a lovely hotel with very nice rooms, set in beautiful grounds, a short distance from Cheltenham. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. As the hotel is a little remote, we decided to eat in the hotel. The food was excellent as was the breakfast. Would definitely recommend and will no doubt return if we are in the Cotswolds."

"Does what it says on the can. Great place for breaking up a long journey. However beware there is NO air conditioning, although a fan was provided there were no electrical sockets anywhere near the bed."

"I was disappointed with our stay at Gloucester Robinswood Hotel. Check-in was very slow, and there were groups of teenagers hanging around the lobby which didn’t create the best first impression. Our room had no air conditioning, which was particularly uncomfortable during the 35°C heat. When I asked at reception for a fan, I was simply told they had all been distributed around the hotel, so there wasn’t one available. As our room was on the ground floor, we couldn’t safely leave the windows...

"The room had everything we needed, and we managed to get extra coffee when we required it. The staff were very helpful and made our visit run smoothly. For our stay, the air conditioning in the room was a bonus, as it was during a very hot spell. We didn't watch the TV, but it looked to have everything you might need on there. The only issue (not their fault) they put me on the top floor and I struggle with stairs a lot as I’m disabled.. so, I booked a small single room but they have a huge room with a double and two singles great bathroom windows that open for air and the bed was great and the hot chocolate n biscuits.
