What can I say, one of the best hotels in Philippines and El Nido. Pick up from the airport was timely and comfortable, and the 30 minutes speedboat ride to the hotel was fun. We arrived and they were waiting with a drink and cold towels and gave us a quick tour. The 42 villas are well located and are big. Amazing resort for a resort of its size. Seamless transfer from Caticlan airport vi their lounge and speedboat to island makes a perfect way to arrive. We stayed in a premier Seaview room which was large and well equipped and maintained. Comfy bed and soft sheets. Cleaning was exceptional and nightly turndown was thorough. Beaches are beautiful, great beach service with water, cold towels and ice cream. Always space on the loungers as pool boys clear left towels. Sizeable swimming pool....

Lived up to expectations we originally were put in the Cabana we had booked online but after the first night the aircon was too loud and I couldn’t sleep. Having raised it with them they immediately moved us to a new room with split aircon which is much quieter. Staff were very helpful and friendly as you would expect, the food and spa facilities lived up to expectations also. We stayed only two nights at Al Faro but wish it were for longer! It was a real change of scenery from the hustle and bustle of Coron town (where we spent a few days before)- the location is beautiful, the staff very attentive, helpful (taking our multiple heavy bags up the steep climb there!) and happy, and the dinners were v good too! It is the perfect place to relax, which you can do either in your own bungalow - which they make a place to chill in itself with a hammock and little bed outside...
