"We enjoyed our stay here, there was plenty of room to spread out, the beds were comfy and our host was very nice and welcoming. We didn't realize that it was geared at people with dogs and some were barking a bit & running around the courtyard but it was overall pretty quiet and also only a few blocks from the beach which was nice to walk on in the morning. "The property, room, service, and staff were great. I was disappointed in the Chinese Restaurant. The menu listed very expensive entrees large enough for two persons, but the portion size was very small and not even large enough for one person. We ordered small draft beer but were charged for the larger size. Surprisingly, we were unexpectedly charged a 1300 yen service charge when we went to pay. We will not return or recommend for these reasons. "

"I stayed at 5 different accommodations during my visit to Japan, and Ryokan Plum was by far my favourite - it was a shame that I could only stay for one night! I stayed in the traditional tatami room, which exceeded all of my expectations. It was beautiful! The host (I forget her name) who greeted me upon my arrival was very kind and welcoming. I would highly recommend Ryokan Plum to anyone visiting the Hakone/Odawara area. "
