"Great location yet quiet as it is well back from the street i side a courtyard. Very nice cottages with kitchenette, loft, dining table and sitting area. The shared patio also has tables for sitting outside. As with much of Alfama be prepared for stairs to get up to the cottages."

"We had recently stayed at the GA Palace hotel in Porto and Editory in Lisbon was a 1night stop over before heading home. Location was great as we exited the train from Porto and straight into our hotel. (1 min walk!). The hotel which was more expensive than the GA isnt close to it in quality or standards. I am sure if we hadn't stayed at the GA the Editory would have been fine but it was expensive for what we got! If you;re coming off the train and want something close to walk to - this is it,...

"The staff was very helpful and made the check-in and check out process simple. Building was very nice and clean. Room was great for a the large group of us, with 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and the pullout couch. That being said, a large group on the top floor posed a bit of a challenge with the 2 person elevator. Getting everyone and their luggage up and down from the 5th floor was slightly inconvenient. Location provided a lovely view of Lisbon from many private balconies and was only a short...

"Great stay at a beautiful property in the center of Alfama. The beautifully appointed room with a view of the river, the courtyard, restaurant space with delicious morning breakfast, snacks and access to coffee and tea and water all day were absolute highlights for my stay. The street noise can be an issue especially during the day, but that seems to be a reflection of the busy location and central to all the beautiful vistas in Alfama. Loved my solo stay at the hotel and would return...

"Great hôtel just in the wrong location. Was clean and friendly staff . We had an issue with the drain in the shower and we where transfer to a different room. Alot of sorry but suspicious people on the street day and night. ( like litle india ) homless ect . You can get away easily or just take a uber to be safe. "

Loved all the little details like tea time at 5, chocolate in room, front desk always there to arrange airport pick ups/drop offs, and to answer any and all questions. Breakfast was fantastic!
