"What I liked about this place was the price and location. The bakery was also good for coffee and pastries. Rooms are tiny and the place is noisy, noisy, noisy. Holy heck, why don't hotels tell the cleaning staff to keep it down in the hallways when people are sleeping before 10 a.m.? There was way too much yelling and talking going on and loudly and it didn't help that we were near the elevator. Staff was nice but often only one person at the desk. Drinks at bar were excellent. "This is a very tired old hotel. When I arrived to my floor it smelled so bad - not the room - the hallways. It was like someone hd cooked Indian food there for many years and the carpet retained the odor. The room simply smelled like air freshener (and years go smoke - probably embedded in the carpet). The bed was seriously lumpy. From what I observed, most of the hotel guests were foreigners - not sure if they were also being sold a bill of goods because of the pictures on the hotel web...
