"Wonder stay with a helpful and friendly staff."

"Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. My room was very clean. The neighbourhood was very quiet. The Haymarket station was close by within easy walking distance. The breakfast buffet was top-notch. Couldn’t have asked for more."

"I would have rated our stay a 5 except for one issue that was not resolved to our satisfaction. The washer did not drain properly and the staff took our clothing to rewash and dry them while the machine was repaired. No one ever came to repair the machine and when my clothes were returned, they were stuffed in a laundry bag and did not appear clean. This hotel has many levels and stairs are unavoidable. We had stayed before and knew this so not an issue. Staff was very willing to assist...

"Clean room, staff were helpful & friendly. Breakfast was delicious, although the menu wasn't offered everyday, which had alternative choices on it. We had an evening meal there, which was amazing. Drinks a bit expensive though. Rooms are spacious & clean."

"Overpriced, at best a 2 star hotel. Will never go back or recommend this hotel. Mold in bathroom on tile. Golf pro shop was very rude (was a single looking for a game) and they couldn't care less to help. Dining was a 2 out of 10k prices were ridiculous. lb 3.40 for a coffee, robbery. In Canada coffee is at best $2.00 for a medium or less than 1 lb."

"The hotel room had a bad smell so I changed room was downgraded because they did not have another room Privilege Room available and I could not eat the breakfast because of how poor and badly maintained the breakfast area was. I will not be staying here again"

"Absolutely loved our stay. Convenient to Edinburgh (by car), great staff but what made our stay special was the property itself - absolutely beautiful... it's like being transported back in time. The setting is beautiful - so peaceful and the gorunds are beautiful."

"The room was modern and clean, however, the shower in the bathroom was a concern. Getting into the shower required stepping over a high tub which can be difficult for seniors. There is a glass partition which was not secure (hinged) and felt like it would swing out if you accidently leaned on it. Not the safest bathroom I have been in."

"Lee- Anne, Anjuli and Nisha made the entire four day stay truly memorable. They offered incredible service and were extremely kind and helpful. We loved the location, just out of the way of Old Town but close enough to all the sights by bus (right outside the hotel). We especially enjoyed the dinner menu as it catered perfectly to vegetarians with a great selection of vegan meals as well. Our room had a lovely view and we had a wonderful experience."

The hotel was exceptionally clean, from the lobby to the rooms, which made the entire experience feel comfortable and well cared for. The location is unbeatable; only about a 3‑minute walk from Waverley Train Station and just 2 minutes from the Royal Mile. It made exploring the city incredibly easy, and being so close to the station was especially convenient for arrival...
