"I travel to Townsend a couple of times a year to visit GSMNP and have stayed at numerous hotels in that area. This was my first time at The Parkman. Property was clean and staff were efficient. My only complaint was that my room did not have a mini-fridge and microwave. The property is undergoing some renovations and I hope they add mini-fridges and microwaves to all their rooms. The restaurant next door is also under renovation so there is no breakfast offering at the current time."

"Picturesque little valley campsite, right by the Great Smoky Mountains National Park (and Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge tourist options). Clean and cozy tent cabins, wonderful staff that were very friendly and welcoming. We had a great time, it was the perfect home base to explore the Smokies and get outdoors and unplug."

"The room was clean and check in instructions were easy to follow. Breakfast was delicious each day. Parking was fine but sometimes not enough space to park at the end of the day. Not too much they can do about that. The only thing that was lacking was not enough utensils/plates/bowls etc in the room. The view was amazing and the property provided a great deal of privacy. I would definitely recommmend this location and stay here again."

"The night attendant who checked us in was exceptional and really set a great tone for the stay. However, a few things fell short for the price: breakfast was underwhelming, the room could use more wall outlets (ideally with USB and USB-C ports), and the bed felt more like a full than a queen."

Housekeeping on the first day didn’t clean our room because they said I had a do not disturb sign (it was on another room two doors down) the front desk agent even called me to verify that I wanted our room cleaned and I said yes and she asked about the sign, I said I don’t have a sign on our room. Again that’s on another room. It seemed no one knew how to check room numbers. We were gone all day and we come back and room isn’t cleaned at all. I...

"Elevator out. Pool was closed. Room smelled musty and moldy. Carpet was gross (musty/moldy). There was no hot water. Visible mold throughout. No real lighting in the room. Breakfast was a continental with the option to microwave pancakes. They did give us another room after they saw all the issues. The new room was much better but still had visible mold and the toilet did not work well (running). This place needs to be closed for a full renovation."

"The rooms were very large enough and I liked the fact that beds were really big and confortable. However, the bed spreads/sheets were not cleaned throughout all my stay. I had to request for iron and ironing board before they were brought to me and even that took a very long time - if I am not mistaken, it was brought the next day after request."

"My stay was very disappointing. The first room I was given was not clean and had a strong sewage odor. The upstairs main room’s air conditioner was not working properly, making the room uncomfortable. I purchased the penthouse suite expecting a private bedroom with a door, as shown in the advertised photos, but that was not what I received.
