Petit Lafitt was perfect for what we wanted. We had toured Mexico City, Merida, Tulum and finally Playa Del Carmen. We were aware this area would be very different to all those I'd mentioned before so opted for somewhere that would be more homely than the larger resorts. It did not disappoint, food was freshly cooked every night rather than a buffet. You had two options and the menus changed daily for both breakfast and dinner. The beach front bar served a lovely lunch if you decided to have an...

Good hotel & location. Friendly staff

Amazing views, very convenient, spacious and comfortable. Super helpful staff

The staff was very nice and helpful, great atmosphere

Massive storm when arrived so hard to get perspective. Charming reception. Bar meals basic and quite expensive and the staff were tired . Gardens and pool.beauriful. I had a basic room for one night, 5m.from.xcaret. bed clean and comfortable, pressure of hot water good.

Comfortable room, complimentary water dispenser in room, nice pool.

Very friendly pleasant staff, Amelia, Stella , Mariano …. Had a great time

Relaxed and comfortable hotel right on Akumal beach, which a nesting beach for turtles. Unfortunately, like most of the coral reefs across the globe, the coral is being bleached and killed due to human activity. Reef safe/eco friendly sunscreen is easy to buy. Great room, good & quiet air conditioning, easy to sleep at night. Lovely staff. Excellent, inexpensive menu that you can order from via WhatsApp. All prices are in USD$ & exclude tax. F.Y.I. it's much cheaper to order food & drinks from...

Loved the hotel - fantastic food, friendly and helpful staff, beautiful room and view, with a well-equipped gym and relaxing spa. I highly recommend treatments from the wonderful Nestor at the spa- the seaweed wrap and hot stone message with reflexology were especially good. So relaxing! The only downside is the Dreams Dolphin Discovery - I just don’t agree with breeding cetaceans in captivity - rescue/sanctuary yes; captive breeding to live in captivity no. It’s the only thing about the place...

Clean room, helpful staff

The staff here are amazing, all so friendly and made my birthday special by decorating my room and bringing me a cake. Thanks to Flor on reception, but all the staff deserve praise especially housekeeping. The room is great. The breakfast is great. The location is great, 2 mins from 5th Ave and 7/8 mins from the beach. I can't fault it! Though it is worth noting there is no bar. You are so close to several it doesn't affect anything.
