"Location is the star here. Very close to National mall and restaurants. Area is generally safe Hotel was fine - though for a new hotel there are already signs of wear (wallpaper starting to peel). Also, I know dc is hot and temp is gate to regulate but the room just felt constantly “damp.” I didn’t try the restaurant but no room service. Again, not a bad stay - got the price it was fine"

"Favorite place to stay in DC. There was a problem with the A/C but maintenance fixed it right away. Staff is courteous and the rooms are spacious."

"I was very pleased with my stay. The staff was welcoming, and the room was clean, nice and quiet. The morning coffee in the lobby was a nice treat, and the dining room menu was terrific, and the food was delicious. There was a nice courtyard to relax, and the neighborhood was convenient, safe and peaceful. One suggestion: More and brighter overhead lights in room."

"Just a few little quibbles. The Pembroke lunch and dinner menus were trying too hard to be "fancy." Nothing under $16 for breakfast, and no burger for dinner. The Doyle was the other extreme; a desert at breakfast time (9:30?); has to track down the server. Having to call room service for ice every darned time was a drag. The TV selection could have been better. And I had real problems getting the in-room coffee brewer to work."

"Bathrooms had a handicap, walk in shower with detachable shower head. Great for all! And safer too. Lobby Coffee/tea service needs to be available at times posted. I was there at 7 am and had to wait until 7:30 for coffee and had meetings on the Hill at 8 am."
